Santa Maria in Montesanto is one of the twin churches located in the Piazza del Popolo facing the gate of the Aurelian Walls. Easily accessible from Via del Corso the two churches look to be identical although they have differences both internally and externally. The twin churches sit at the end of the Trident of streets with Via del Babuino, Via del Corso in the middle and Via di Ripetta on the right. The second church of the twins is the Santa Maria dei Miracoli.
If you are in Piazza del Popolo visit the twin churches they are slightly different, the church plans were designed by Rainaldi, revised by Bernini and completed by Carlo Fontana, the belfry was added in the 18th century. Bernini's influence can be seen in the exterior saint statues.
