The building in which Casa Fuster is located was designed by Lluis Domenech i Montaner for the Fuster family in 1908. At that time it was said to be the most expensive private home constructed in the city. This outstanding example of Modernistic architecture has been given a second life in its transformation to a luxurious hotel. There is a rooftop terrace and swimming pool to add to the comfort of a stay here.
Dressed in a palette of magenta, mauve, and taupe some guest rooms have private balconies and many open onto the leafy Passeig de Gracia. Turn down service includes the wonderful touch of a chocolate inside your pillow, fluffy robes and slippers by your bed.
The tribute to the hotel is that it now houses one of Barcelona's best jazz clubs in its Viennese cafe. Don't worry about the sound carrying to your room, as you won't hear a murmur.
Situated in not the most convenient of locations for exploring the city but that is the price you will pay to put your head on a pillow in a true Modernista landmark.
