The club is not very expensive to enter.
The main area is really quite 'intimate' and some can feel claustrophobic.
The music is a great mix of local, house and international.
The toilets are in demand and not very clean so be prepared.
Located in a former flamenco stage, La Macarena is one of the more interesting clubs in Barcelona. Sometimes boasting big-name national and international DJs in a small space, this club takes a more intimate approach to the scene. About the size of an apartment, La Macarena can only host no more than fifty people. The music, selected by the resident DJ, is electronic, which pumps though an incredible sound system. When you get to the club, a set of double doors lead you to the small dance floor, if you get thirsty, a small bar can be found in the back. While it’s definitely not your typical club in size, it more than make up for it in other ways, with an intimate atmosphere and setting, you can get up close to some of the best national and international DJs and dance the night away.
