The lake is really beautiful and you can rent boats.

There are lots of food vendors and ice cream!
Located on what was once a fortress and political prison commissioned by Felipe V after the War of Spanish Succession, Park de la Ciutadella is quite the extensive park with a zoo, the Natural History Museum, Catalan Parliament, a school, a church, a boating lake, and a bandstand. Turned into a park after demolition of the fortress in 1869 and used for the Universal Exhibition 1888, Park de la Cuitadella is a great place to relax, stroll or visit the various sites within the park. A couple of sites include L’Hivernacle an elaborate greenhouse, or near the Passeig de Pujades entrance is the monumental cascada (waterfall). To the southeast is the fort’s former arsenal which is now the Parlament de Catalunya, where you can take free guided tours of the Escala d’Honor (Stairway of Honor) and the Salo de Sessions (where parliament meets). There’s a lot more to see!
